Lex Seda
They/Them

My name is Lex and I am a white nonbinary queer who uses they/them pronouns. When living in the bay area of California I studied Ethics and Sociology before transferring up to Portland State University to study Criminology. What I lack in formal DEI training I make up for in lived experience which can be just as crucial to the conversation, especially in the legal sphere. As a nonbinary queer, working in the legal field was something that I never anticipated. Within my time at SFE, I’ve worked with committees, management, and the partnership to foster a more inclusive environment where everyone feels not only welcomed, but comfortable regardless of identity. We know diverse voices create new perspectives, and that differing input leads to better solutions. I do my best to acknowledge the space I take in every room I’m in, while being committed to continuously educating myself and looking to learn from those with different identities than mine. I am a vocal advocate, passionate about lifting others up, applying my knowledge and experience when and where applicable, and learning from others.
