As our team of exceptionally talented litigators continues to grow at Smith Freed Eberhard, we are excited to congratulate Jessica Kamish on being named Senior Associate. Jessica has been with the firm for over two years and plays an integral role in our Seattle office working on Gordon Klug’s team, where her practice focuses on automobile accidents, construction defect, first and third party personal injury, product liability, and uninsured and underinsured motorist cases.
“Jessica is one of our rock star associates (now Senior Associate) whom I have enjoyed working with over the past several years,” said Gordon Klug, a Partner in Smith Freed Eberhard’s Seattle office. “She manages some of my more complex appellate cases and has had great success at trial. Before the COVID pandemic, Jessica took a low speed personal injury case to trial after the plaintiff appealed a mandatory arbitration award. Jessica skillfully presented our witness testimony and photos to the jury. They then returned a verdict that was substantially less than what was awarded by the arbitrator. After filing with the Judge a cost bill, our client ended up with a judgment against the Plaintiff for $55,343.14 on a rear ended motor vehicle accident!”
Prior to joining Smith Freed Eberhard, Jessica worked as a civil litigator on both the plaintiff and defense side where she gained experience in the areas of commercial litigation, personal injury, construction defect, eminent domain, professional malpractice, and employment, in addition to federal contract and trespass law, all of which greatly informed her role at Smith Freed Eberhard and has shaped her into an impressive litigator.
According to Jeff Eberhard, Managing Partner, “Jessica is an excellent attorney. I knew when I saw her Opening Statement in our Black Belt Training Academy that she would be a superstar– she has lived up to that ever since.”
We feel Jessica demonstrates the exceptional talent we have at Smith Freed Eberhard and we are pleased to congratulate her on her new position within the firm!
