Kyle Ellison graduated cum laude from Chapman University School of Law in Orange County, California and served as a symposium editor of the Chapman Law Review. He began his legal career in California Workers’ Compensation where he represented both injured workers and defended employers against injury claims with both in-house and private firms. He subsequently moved into private civil litigation defense where he defended insureds in cases ranging from auto accidents, personal injury, premises liability, dog bites, and other related claims. Kyle joined Smith Freed Eberhard in January 2020 where he has continued to grow his civil litigation practice, including expanding into construction defect litigation.
In his free time, Kyle enjoys reading about history, playing jazz music, swing dancing, photography, working on classic cars, and spending time with his wife and son.
