Smith Freed & Eberhard's Construction & Development Group represents our clients in all phases of construction disputes. This may include damage assessment and costs of reconstruction.
Our attorneys work closely with engineers and construction experts of all disciplines to determine sources and causes of defects. They advise contractors, developers and builders on issues of liability and damages. In addition, some of our attorneys have professional engineering and construction backgrounds themselves, which prove beneficial when providing counsel to clients in these types of cases. We have experience in a wide array of construction disputes including earth movement, commercial building, public works and building envelope or water intrusion litigation. We also represent contractors, subcontractors, developers, insurers, suppliers and vendors in all aspects of construction disputes and development issues.
The Construction Defect Group at Smith Freed & Eberhard has established itself as a leader in the rapidly growing area of EIFS claims. The group has built one of the largest case litigation histories of EIFS claims in the state of Oregon. They have represented contractors, manufacturers, and insurance companies as these claims have proliferated.
