Smith Freed & Eberhard Graduates 10 Attorneys from the Firm’s Black Belt Trial Advocacy Training Program

Portland, Oregon (June 2, 2011) – Smith Freed & Eberhard is pleased to announce the graduation of 10 attorneys from the firm’s Black Belt Trial Advocacy Training Program.
The Black Belt Trial Advocacy Training Program is an interactive 10-week litigation workshop designed to sharpen and enhance attorney trial skills. The program is based on Herbert J. Stern’s “Trying Cases to Win” advocacy series.
Students of the program attended the trial advocacy training sessions, team meetings and trial skills acting classes. Students also prepared and presented two opening statements that were given in front of a mock jury and final review panel.
The most recent graduates of the program developed by Smith Freed & Eberhard are as follows; Dannielle Booth, Brian Weeks, Candice Broock, Joe Rohner, Megan Smith, Nick Thede, Stephan Lopez, Christian Hale.
Also graduating are two in-house counsel attorneys, Eva Marcotrigiano from Travelers Insurance Company and Michael Hallinan from Nationwide Insurance Company.
