Professional Experience
Upon receiving his law degree, Evan specialized in insurance defense for Allstate and Nationwide Insurance Companies in Connecticut. During his nine years of practice in Connecticut, Evan represented over 500 clients – commercial, corporate and individuals – in personal injury lawsuits.
Since becoming a member of the Oregon Bar, Evan has represented several Safeco and Farmers Insurance policy holders in civil matters filed in a numerous Oregon Circuit Courts – Marion, Multnomah, Yamhill, Lane, Lincoln, Benton, Clackamas, Linn, and Polk Counties. He has tried cases to juries in Multnomah, Benton, and Lane Counties. His litigation experience is wide ranging and extensive.
Significant Representations
- Represented clients as lead counsel in more than 25 jury trials from Connecticut to Oregon.
- Specialized in defending Nationwide Insurance insureds in lawsuits where a claim of traumatic brain injury was alleged.
- Facilitated more than 1000 depositions of various parties, fact witnesses, and expert witnesses including orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, neuropsychologists and chiropractors.
- Successfully represented hundreds of clients at arbitrations, mediations and settlement conferences.
- Acted as sole arbiter for personal injury cases in Connecticut.
