Professional Experience
Jeff’s practice focuses on civil litigation in the state and federal courts of Oregon with an emphasis in the defense of injury claims ranging from auto accidents to toxic exposures and products liability. In addition to his personal injury defense practice, Jeff's practice includes the defense of RICO, fraud and other commercial claims. Jeff is the most active trial attorney in the firm, averaging eight jury trials per year.
Significant Representations

Conducted over 50 jury trials and 200 arbitrations.

Successfully defended a regional amusement park in a lawsuit arising from the rape of a thirteen year-old girl by one of its employees; the case settled on extraordinarily favorable terms.

Routinely defends a regional contractor in asbestos personal injury claims; 45 of over 50 cases have been resolved by dismissal or summary judgment.

Successfully defended a manufacturer of commercial smoke devices.

Successfully defended a recovering heroin addict in a multimillion-dollar (including punitive damages for intoxication) personal injury suit arising from a high-speed motor vehicle accident. Following a five-day jury trial, the plaintiff was awarded approximately $33,000.

Successfully defended a regional pharmacy in a wrongful death suit for misprescribing narcotic medications, resulting in plaintiff’s death. The pharmacy was granted summary judgment following discovery.
