Personal Injury - Slip and Fall

Plaintiff, a husband and wife, claimed the wife had slipped and fell on a ramp at a church property after a gospel concert. Plaintiffs were seeking a combined $235,000-$485,000 in damages for permanent injuries the wife sustained due to breaking her wrist and injuring her back.

At trial, Plaintiff testified that their friend had slipped in the same spot and was injured. They also had an expert witness testify that the ramp was dangerous.  Due to Partner Glenn Barger’s thorough cross examination, they were able to discredit Plaintiff's testimony and their expert witness. Glenn Barger also used a professional engineer to show that the ramp was up to building code and slip resistant. The jury came back with a straight defense verdict resulting in a savings of several hundred thousand dollars.
