Personal Injury - Automobile Accident Rear End Fraud
The plaintiff was rear-ended in a medium-impact collision. Claiming rotator cuff, neck, and mid-and-lower back injuries, she sued for over $250,000. The insurer suspected that a significant portion of the plaintiff’s symptoms originated from pre-existing conditions. The plaintiff’s case was based on testimony from her chiropractor. SF&E countered with testimony from qualified medical experts, including an orthopedic surgeon. On cross-examination, the chiropractor admitted that the plaintiff’s continuing symptoms were not from injuries sustained in the accident.
The result? An award of only $5,500 for the plaintiff, and a savings of over $254,000 for our client.
