Business Litigation - Restaurant Patron Injury

A guy walked into a bar … and three large objects fell from a shelf onto his head.  The injured patron sued the restaurant owner alleging that seizures he had suffered a year after the incident were caused by the objects falling on his head. Partner Starla Goff was retained by the restaurant owner.  After a careful and detailed analysis of the medical records indicating no identifiable brain trauma from the accident, Starla was able to uncover other likely causes of the seizure disorder, such as alcohol abuse and nonprescription steroid use. After the first day of trial, where Starla outlined the evidence and potential alternative causes of Plaintiff's seizure disorder, the plaintiff agreed to settle the case for the original pre-filing settlement offer.
